10:00 am. Añana Salt Valley

We will start our route in the oldest town in Alava, and in what were waters of a vast sea 200 million years ago, stands the Salt Valley of Salinas de Añana. A magnificent outdoor cultural landscape (monument) formed over more than 5,000 eras:. platforms on which the brine, saltwater, is poured to obtain salt through solar evaporation.

11:30 pm. Ayala Valley

Nature lovers can enjoy a range of footpaths of varying degrees of difficulty through the legendary peaks and trails of the Sierra Salvada, admiring the local wildlife and flora as they go. As a place where countless birds live or rest after their long migratory journeys, Ayala is also an unrivalled location for bird watching.

1:00 pm. Lunch and visit Txakoli winery.

Txakoli is the local basque white wine. There are a number of wineries in the Araba region to visit and taste this unique wine.

2:30 pm. Visit Vitoria-Gasteiz

Vitoria-Gasteiz medieval quarter and cathedral tour. The city is also home of the Green Ring, a reserve for deers, birds and other fauna and flora.

11:30 pm. Cheese Dairy visit

We will learn how the best basque cheese, Idiazabal, is made. Idiazabal is a handmade sheep cheese .

7:30 pm. Drop off at the Hotel.
